1. Data Collection

What information do we collect?

To use certain features of Poindeo, you need to create an account, which requires providing specific information. Depending on your use of our services, we collect two types of information: personal and non-personal.

  • Personal Information: In practice, this is the data you provide when creating an account — your name (optional) and email address — plus basic account details such as your subscription status. Payment details are handled by our payment processor (see below), not stored by us. Like most websites, our servers also record standard technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) for security and troubleshooting.
  • Non-personal Information: This includes data that cannot identify you, such as demographic information (age, profession, industry, gender, location, zip code), browser types, domain names, and statistical data on service usage. Non-personal information may become personal if combined with other identifiers.

Poindeo operates entirely within your browser. We DO NOT:

  • Provide cloud storage for your data
  • Process or transmit your documents to any server
  • Track individual user behavior beyond standard analytics

All editing operations, document processing, and content creation happen locally in your browser. Your documents, images, and other content never leave your device unless you explicitly choose to save or share them.

One caveat for the sake of precision: when something goes wrong or when you export a video, we collect technical diagnostic logs — error messages, export settings (such as resolution and duration), device information, and your project's name and ID. If you are signed in, these logs are associated with your account email so we can follow up if needed. They never include your media files or documents; at most they carry limited project settings with all binary data stripped out.

2. Data Uses

How do we use your information?

We use the collected information for various business purposes to enhance your experience with Poindeo Services:

  • Identification, Authentication, and Access: To verify your identity when accessing your account. If you link your account with third-party accounts (e.g., Google), we use the information from these accounts to facilitate account creation and login.
