Poindeo MCP
Connect Poindeo MCP, and your agent edits real videos: it reads the project, imports media, adds zooms and camera moves, checks its own work frame by frame, and exports the finished MP4 to disk.
Use Poindeo to turn this recording into a product demo — zoom in on the key steps.
I'll read the project, plan a zoom point for each click, and verify every one by capturing frames.
All 6 zooms are in place and the captured frames check out. Good to export as 1080P?
Export it.
Which agent are you using?

What can you do with Poindeo?
Your agent answers with concrete abilities — read the project, add zooms, add subtitles, export an MP4. That reply means it's connected; “no Poindeo tools found” means it isn't.
Desktop clients and Claude Code install as plugins — the Claude Code plugin needs a local Node.js · Cursor runs via npx (Node 22.18+) · The first tool call opens the Poindeo editor in your browser
Editing, importing, exporting, and frame capture all work with the editor tab in the background — only live playback preview needs it visible.
What you can ask your agent to do.
Start from a concrete need. Copy an example prompt, or bring your own task.
Zoom in on the pricing table at 0:12, hold for two seconds.
- 01Read scene & IDsget_project
- 02Add zoom pointtime · zoom · easing
- 03Verify framingframe.capture
Zoom and pan on demand
Your agent adds zoom points to any moment — exact timestamp, zoom level (up to 5×), easing — and moves or retimes them until the pacing feels right.
Add a zoom point to the pricing table at 12s in the first scene: zoom 2x, ease in and out, hold for 2 seconds. Capture a frame afterwards so I can check the framing.
Turn these screenshots into a demo video and export it.

One prompt, finished video
Import local video, images, GIFs, or PDFs, arrange the scenes, then export an MP4 written straight to your Downloads folder — the whole loop in one thread.
Import ~/Desktop/shots/*.png as scenes, give each 3 seconds with a slow 1.2x push-in, then export a 1080P MP4 and tell me where it's saved.
Show me what the frame looks like at the zoom peak.

- 03Adjust & re-checkuntil it's right
The agent checks its own work
frame.capture returns the actual rendered frame straight to the agent — including CLI agents in the terminal. frame.sample lays up to 60 labeled frames into one contact sheet for planning camera moves.
Sample 12 frames from the screen-recording scene as a contact sheet, pick the moments where the cursor clicks, and add a zoom point to each.
This demo feels static. Make it follow what's happening.

- 03Plain videosautozoom.vision
Auto-zoom that follows the action
Screen and whiteboard sessions recorded with the Poindeo extension carry cursor trajectories your zoom points can follow — and your agent can re-plan them at any density. For plain videos, autozoom.vision applies the agent's own frame-by-frame analysis.
Re-plan the auto-zoom points on my extension recording with fewer, longer zooms, and show me the plan before applying it.
Do a slow push, tilt slightly, then glide into the next scene.

Moves beyond the presets
The editor UI ships fixed presets; your agent composes canvas primitives — camera paths, 3D tilt and rotation, transitions, labels, subtitles, mosaics, camera overlays, per-scene speed — into camera moves no preset covers, from a single sentence.
Give the intro scene a slow 5-second push-in with a subtle 3-degree tilt, then glide into the walkthrough scene with a smooth transition.
Blur the email addresses and add subtitles.

The full editing toolkit
60 operations cover the whole timeline: trim, split and reorder scenes, subtitles, mosaics, watermarks, background music, cursor styles — every edit is a normal, undoable step in the editor's history.
Add a mosaic over the email address in scene 2 from 3s to 9s, generate subtitles for the whole project, and add soft background music at low volume.
Your agent, wired into a real video editor.
Poindeo MCP connects your agent to the Poindeo browser editor through the Model Context Protocol: read the project, import media, apply edits, capture frames to verify, and export. The editor runs locally in your browser — the agent just drives it, like a pro editor would.
Local by design
The MCP server runs on your machine and talks to the editor over stdio. Media never leaves your computer, and exports are written straight to your disk.
Sees what it renders
Every zoom point and overlay can be verified against the actual rendered frame — agents that see images check their own work instead of guessing.
Works in a background tab
Frame capture and export rendering run offscreen in a worker at full canvas resolution, and editing or importing need no visibility either. Only live playback preview needs the tab visible.
Undoable like manual edits
Almost all agent edits go through the same command layer as your own clicks — Ctrl+Z reverts them — and every operation is validated on both ends before it runs.
Three things, and you're ready.
An AI client
Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor — any client that supports local MCP servers works. Most clients install Poindeo as a plugin; Cursor launches it via npx (Node 22.18+).
Chrome or Edge
The editor opens in your default browser on first use. Chrome or Edge gives the full feature set.
A Poindeo account (optional)
You can try without an account — free projects support 2 scenes and 720P export with a watermark. Log in and subscribe to unlock 1080P to 4K.
Questions, answered.
What is Poindeo MCP?
A local MCP server that gives AI agents like Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor hands-on control of the Poindeo video editor: reading the project, importing media, applying 60 kinds of edits, capturing frames to verify results, and exporting finished videos to your disk.
Is my data safe?
Yes. The server runs locally on your machine and connects to the editor in your own browser. Your media and exported videos never leave your computer. The only traffic besides the agent, the local server, and the editor tab is anonymous telemetry — version numbers and error summaries, no media or project content — which you can disable with POINDEO_MCP_NO_TELEMETRY=1.
What does it cost?
The MCP server is free. The editor's free plan allows 2 scenes per project and 720P video export with a watermark; subscriptions unlock 1080P, 2K, and 4K without the watermark. Your agent always states the export plan and waits for your confirmation before exporting.
Can the agent record my screen for me?
Screen, camera, and microphone capture is gated by browser permission dialogs, so only you can start a recording. The agent opens the right recording panel — and takes over the moment recording finishes: importing, auto-zoom, editing, and export are all automated.
Which agents can use it?
Any client that supports local stdio MCP servers. Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, and Cursor are covered — the setup section above shows the commands for each.
Why a local server instead of a remote MCP?
Video editing needs your media files and writes large exports — both live on your machine. A local server keeps media where it is and saves finished videos directly to disk, with no uploads in between.
